Primary and Secondary Library at Regent International School, Dubai, UAE

Fortes Education commissioned Lulie Fisher Design Studio to refurbish their Primary and Secondary Student Library at Regent International School. The library which dates back to 1993 was too small and out dated for current needs. It has now been transformed into an exciting, nourishing, and fun environment that supports learning, collaboration and discovery. Although the library is a completely open space, unhindered by walls or screens, colour has been cleverly utilised to define zones and create a visual point of difference and orientation between each. Acoustic absorbency in the form of decorative wall panelling and oversized pendant lighting helps to contain any noise generation and disturbance at source.
