Raffles Hotel Pool Deck and Lounge, Dubai
Raffles Hotel Dubai, known for its iconic pyramid shape, appointed Lulie Fisher Design Studio and The Odd Duck to carry out the refurbishment of their roof-deck which features a barbecue F&B outlet, a pool bar, family area with splash pads, private dining cabanas as well as an expansive sun lounging space alongside the feature pool. With patterns inspired by the Lotus, the Scarab and Nemes, a lush outdoor garden has been created housing private cocoons draped in greenery and softened by shears for lounging and dining. Strategically stepped tiers for lounging ensure views to the pool whilst retaining privacy. The pool finish is key feature depicting a contemporary interpretation of the flora and fauna found on an ancient Egyptian papyrus painting. A dedicated bar and barbeque station is set against the backdrop of a decorative mosaic travellers palm motif, continuing the language and imagery found in the hotel’s main reception.
