Courtyard Restaurant, Manarat Al Saadiyat, Abu Dhabi

With the imminent completion of the Louvre Museum and the progress on the Guggenheim at Saadiyat Island, the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority is re-launching a newly repurposed Manarat Al Saadiyat Building. Lulie Fisher Design Studio presented a feasibility study which helped transform the existing buildings into a social, cultural and educational hub. The changes include the addition of a co-working office space for artists and small businesses, a garden events pavilion, an artisan pop up market space, an art house cinema, gallery spaces, an art zone dedicated to providing art classes and workshops for students of all ages, and a series of restaurants and cafes connected to the beautiful central courtyard. Phase 1 of the development is currently underway and comprises the Cinema, Art Zone and Events Pavilion.
